The 2018 BAC/IMI International Apprentice Contest will take place October 5-6 at the John J. Flynn National Training Center in Bowie, Maryland. Held every three years, the contest draws BAC’s top apprentices from around the U.S. and Canada to compete for the title of International Champion in their trade across 8 categories:
To qualify for the international competition, apprentices must participate and place in regional apprentice competitions, hosted by BAC Locals in the northeast, north central, and west.
At the international competition, apprentices have to demonstrate their mastery of hands-on and theoretical skills through building challenges and written tests. First, second, and third place winners will be awarded in each craft category.
The contest is open to the public on Saturday, October 6. A detailed schedule will follow. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to email@example.com.
