BAC/IMI International Apprentice Contest

The 2018 BAC/IMI International Apprentice Contest will take place October 5-6 at the John J. Flynn National Training Center in Bowie, Maryland. Held every three years, the contest draws BAC’s top apprentices from around the U.S. and Canada to compete for the title of International Champion in their trade across 8 categories: 

  • Brick
  • Cement
  • Tile
  • Marble
  • Terrazzo
  • Plaster
  • Pointing-Cleaning-Caulking/Restoration
  • Stone

To qualify for the international contest, apprentices must participate and place in regional apprentice contests, hosted by BAC Locals in the northeast, north central, and west.

At the international contest, apprentices have to demonstrate their mastery of hands-on and theoretical skills through building challenges and written tests.
